Goals... How are your's coming along?

How are your writing goals for 2010 coming along? Here it is almost the end of January and many of you may not even have established your firm goals for 2010.

If you want to have a productive writing career you really must set one or two major goals for the next 11 months. I recommend setting 2-3 major goals first.

This means you must identify what it is that you really want for your writing for 2010. Take a few minutes to think about your goals.

Next, write out 2-3 tasks you can do daily, weekly, and monthly to promote progress towards the major goals you want to reach.

Every smaller task you do should be in some way related to the major goals you have set for your writing career.

Now go forth and write, outline, research, and promote. Do it in small steps, sometimes even tiny steps making sure that your steps are creeping however slowly towards your writing goals for 2010.
