If you love dessert and you like helping mom or dad in the kitchen then this book is for you. Many of the cooking projects will be need the assistance of an adult but kids 9-13 should have the skills to make these cool treats with some help.


Blueberry Cheesecake Tarts are delicious and so easy. Check out page 12. How about PB & J Brownies? The easy recipe is on page 30 and really is easy because it is one of the recipes I tried with my grandchildren.


The best of the best are Frosty Frozen Cakesicles, another pretty easy recipe to do. Very little adult supervision on this one.


If these recipes sound like fun, this book will give you not only the recipes but full color pictures so you know just how the dessert will turn out. It also has tips and information about the tools you need in the kitchen to make these treats quick and easy.


As with any recipe or dessert moderation is the key and these serving sizes are appropriate for children when combined with a balanced diet. More importantly, children working along side an adult in the kitchen does wonders for a relationship. Some of the best memories are made around food and this book will help make those memories happen. I give the book 4 stars for greatness.
